After the mighty success of duo’s recent track ‘The Hum’, Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike show no signs of stopping. Hit after hit, the brothers from Belgium have stamped their place on the mainstream scene. And their residency at Tomorrowland only goes out to further establish their standing in the forefront of Electronic Dance Music.

And as we all know, big collaborations go a long way. So when the duo announced a collaboration with Hip-Hop artist and Grammy nominee Ne-Yo, there were no questions and only anticipation about the big track in the making. The duo finally premiered it live in Las Vegas during their EDC set, where the crowd also got an exclusive performance by Ne-Yo himself. Mellow sounds and soft vocals, it was unprecedented stuff from Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike.

Of course, we could carry on with the original but remixes were surely in order. The task was forwarded to the Bassjackers duo, rising artist Angemi, Tujamo and a combined remix from Regi and Wolfpack.

Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike feat. Ne-Yo – Higher Place (Regi & Wolfpack Remix)
Proper Deep House rework from the collaborators on the track. Keeping the vibe of the original song and the softness of the vocals intact, they give it a sweeter sound twist. Good work as far as the preview shows!

Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike feat. Ne-Yo – Higher Place (Tujamo Remix)
Electro House torchbearer from Germany, Tujamo absolutely works his magic on the track. Hard sounds and a great buildup to turn into a groovy sort of Electro sound, Tujamo does justice to the track. Mainstage stuff!

Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike feat. Ne-Yo – Higher Place (Bassjackers Remix)
Hard, hard and hard! The duo give it a good, hard sounding remix but fail to impress by the standards set by others in the remix package primarily because the remix detaches from the vibe of the original. Maybe, this one is exclusively for the headlining sets.

Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike feat. Ne-Yo – Higher Place (Angemi Remix)
Best for the last. Angemi, the rising producer whose cheeky genre/artist specific remix videos on Facebook had us impressed, turns the song into his own masterpiece. A trap remix but the beauty of the remix shines through in the drop. Top notch rework, this one!
