Avicii Cancels Upcoming Tour Dates, Again

Home Uncategorized Avicii Cancels Upcoming Tour Dates, Again

It’s the second time over the last two years that Avicii has had to postpone his touring schedule.

Last September Tim Berg was forced to cancel all of his upcoming gigs including, Asian tour, TomorrowWorld, and his Vegas residencies due to health issues as a result of earlier surgeries in 2014.

Following last year’s cancellations, it seems like Avicii won’t be doing any appearances until 2016 as well. An exclusive statement provided to Billboard by Avicii‘s reps confirms that the Swedish star will be moving all of his scheduled gigs, including Encore Beach Club and XS in Las Vegas, Japan’s Fuji-Ku Conifer Forest, Maishima Special Stage and Storm Festival in Shanghai to 2016.

Part of the reasoning behind this decision have been a crazy summer tour schedule, shooting music videos for his new singles “Pure Grinding” and “For a Better Day” and a lot of pressure on delivering his album “Stories”.

The statement doesn’t go into specifics, however it hints about a big change coming in 2016. We guess that we’ll have to just sit back and wait for it:

I look forward to keep being innovative with my team in leading a bigger change than just with my music. In moving my tour promotional responsibilities to next year, I have a great opportunity to focus on myself and spend time trying to grow up in a way I never got the chance to – normal, or as normal as it could get.

Avicii then goes on to say:

My team, label and family have encouraged me to do that and I realize not many in my position get that opportunity.
