Who are the ‘Groove Cartel’?

Home Uncategorized Who are the ‘Groove Cartel’?

Groove Cartel is a “new term” on the progressive house scene. Rumors say DJ’s and producers decided to form sub genre back in late 2014. The core element which each track contains is the ‘groove’ , whether it be in the beat, drop, melody or background layers, giving it that distinctive edge, a deeper soul, compared to many other releases.

So who are the artists behind it? The answer is quite simple.

Kryder & Tom Staar, both began using the hashtag #bringbackthegroove and #groovecartel on their Facebook and Twitter profiles in various stories. However the Groove Cartel family seemingly consists of many others, including the likes of Bottai, Simon De Jano, AnsoloM.E.G. & N.E.R.A.K., Corey James, Swanky Tunes, Shapov, Max Vangeli, Ivan Gough, Jebu, Arno Cost, Norman Doray, Madwill, Stefano Pain and many more.

And within that “many more” are the members of Kryder’s label for creative artists called Sosumi Records.  You can have a look at their soundcloud stream with many talents emerging up the ranks in past year.

A many labels do, Sosumi and Kryder are dropping  exclusive sessions (including a  demo drop) during ADE on Friday 16th October this year. And if you are asking what is special about Sosumi? They release all the tracks for free and focusing their policy into #sharingisccaring.

If you still don’t feel the groove in your ears, you should definitely listen to the “homerun remix” of Axwell /\ Ingrosso single “Something New” by Kryder and Tom Staar below.

What you guys answer to Kryder’s question?
