Even during an awards show, Dutch DJ and producer Afrojack took advantage of being surrounded by numerous world-renowned artists. He made his moves by chatting with Grammy award-winning duo Macklemore and Ryan Lewis while on the red carpet of this year’s MTV Europe Music Awards. Afrojack was in attendance as he was nominated for the Best World Stage Performance award and for the Best Collaboration Award for his song “Hey Mama” alongside David Guetta and Nicki Minaj.

The dance music icon has been known for incorporating hip-hop into some of his production and therefore, collaborating with Macklemore & Ryan Lewis should not come as a surprise. Having to work with popular hip-hop artists such as Chris Brown and Snoop Dogg in the past, Afrojack is extending his reach even further toward other artists to add different flavors to his future tracks. On his Instagram page, Afrojack reveals that he had asked the Seattle-based duo if they would be interested in working together. They fortunately said “yes”, which leaves fans from both parties waiting to see what the three chart-topping artists might produce come 2016.
