This year has been an incredible roller coaster ride for one of the youngest and fastest-rising superstars of the electronic dance music industry. 19-year old Martin Garrix has already achieved insurmountable success over the past few years but what seems crazy is that he is only getting started. The Dutch producer has headlined many of the biggest festivals around the world, has released several hits such as platinum-certified “Animals”, and may release his debut album soon. Garrix basically has done it all at such an early stage of his career and who knows how much higher it can go once he finishes up his album.

DJ Mag’s #3 Best DJ in the world was nominated for the Best Electronic Act for this year’s European Music Awards and was announced as the winner of the award during the event. Garrix was also nominated for the Best Dutch Act but lost to Indie Rock band Kensington. He accepted the award after playing a set with fellow Dutch DJ Afrojack and taking over the EMA’s Twitter page and answering some fan questions. Following the announcements, Garrix sent a tweet that expressed his appreciation for the support of his fans and supporters:
