Kepik is an American DJ/Producer many wouldn’t have heard of. The San-Francisco native however has produced remixes of some the music industry’s biggest names and chart-topping tracks.

Having only been around for 2 years, Kepik has put his talents to the test in creating an alternative take on Adele’s “Hello”, Maroon 5’s “She Will Be Loved”, Ellie Goulding’s”Love Me Like You Do” and even Idina Menzel’s “Let It Go”. Kepik has also seen success on the Beatport charts, placing in the top 35 of their overall ranking chart for his take on Ron Reeser’s “Here & Now“.

Opting for melodic, long-format progressive house music, Kepik’s manipulation of tempo along with subtle FX have become a consistent characteristic of his. And with infusions of trance and electro house in his near 7-minute-long remix of Taylor Swifts “Wildest Dreams”, the upward trend for Kepik continues.

Opening with a melodic basis overlaid by Swifts iconic vocals, the gradual intensification of beat and rhythm across the first 90 seconds lends itself smoothly to the surging progression with a symbolic kick-bass. Rising again throughout the bridge, the incorporation of trance elements for the second breakdown demonstrates Kepik’s abilities to merge genre’s and try his talents as something different.

With more of a ‘synthy’, soulful, atmosphere the remix heightens the senses through the the inclusion of trance-like chords, before returning to the more mainstream progression towards the end. Carrying energy throughout, Kepik’s remix reflects the experience of someone with far more than 2 years under their belt, a credit to his dedicated time and effort to improve and perfect his skills and material.
