Home Uncategorized Throttle brings new life to Earth, Wind, and Fire’s “September”

If you have not become acquainted with Throttle, the 19-year-old Australian prodigy, you absolutely need to.  Starting his own signature style called “Dirty Disco,” his tracks are infectious and remarkably entertaining.  Having made a name for himself by remixing the likes of Avicii, Usher, and Dada Life; for his latest remix, he took Earth, Wind, and Fire’s iconic track “September” and gives it a twist, adding his sound and bringing it new life.

Amazingly, Throttle is the first, and only, artist ever to have been allowed by the 70s’ greats to use the original parts from their record in making a remix, illustrating the high praise that they have for the youngster.

The “September” remix is just what the fans of the original would ask for.  Adding some additional layers to the record, the remix still keeps the integrity of the original, while having Throttle’s “Dirty Disco” style come through.  Adding some additional snares to the underlying beat, some incredible use of the guitar to add some new grooves, and elongating some areas to really focus on the beat, this track is sure to become a staple in some Nu Disco sets this Fall and Winter so the crowd can really let loose.

The track is available for purchase on iTunes and streaming on Spotify.
