With 2015 coming to a close, several music platforms and news outlets have now gathered their lists of top tracks, artists, and albums. Whether these are based on statistics or based on opinions, many people have lately been busy picking this year’s best music. Beatport, which has been one of the biggest sources for music over the past decade, recently selected their breakthrough artists and labels of 2015.

The formidable list for this year’s breakthrough artists kicks off with one of Spinnin’ Records’ fastest rising producers, Curbi. With the success of his massive collaboration with Montell Jordan on “The Party (This is How We Do It)”, Joe Stone was expectedly placed on Beatport’s list. After a big year headlining festivals and ranking as DJ Mag’s #12 Top DJ, Oliver Heldens was selected as well. Other notable artists on the list include Jack Ü, Shapov, M.E.G. & N.E.R.A.K., Volt & State, and Fox Stevenson.

Aside from the list of their breakthrough artists, Beatport also reveals their top labels of 2015. The first label selected was Don Diablo’s HEXAGON, which had his and CID’s remix of Alex Adair’s “Make Me Feel Better” as its first release. Another selection was Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike’s imprint, Smash the House, after undoubtedly having a successful run this year. Oliver Heldens gets picked again with the selection of his label, Heldeep Records, and Blasterjaxx’ recently launched label, Maxximize Records, makes it into the list as well.

Here are the full lists of Beatport’s Breakthrough Artists and Labels of 2015.
