Diplo identified as most Shazamed artist of 2015

Undoubtedly, 2015 has been the year of Diplo. From ‘Lean On‘ as Major Lazer, to ‘Where Are U Now‘ as Jack U, and all the way back to ‘Be Right There‘ as Diplo himself, the American producer has earned himself a larger than life presence in the EDM scene.

As if going platinum wasn’t enough, Diplo has also just been announced as the most ‘Shazamed‘ artist of 2015. Raking up a collective 40 million Shazams, his projects Major Lazer and Jack U clocked at 27 million and 9.6 million Shazams respectively, leaving 4.6 million to the artists solo project as well.

Diplo addressed the accolade with a sarcastic post on Facebook:

“I guess that means no one knows my music or who the f I am since u had to Shazam me 40 million times .. U could have just followed me on soundcloud it would save you some time.. also pic of me in 2008 when I was popping in shiny suits .. But no seriously thanks.”
