Home Uncategorized City of Breda plans to create walk of fame for DJ’s

The city of Breda of The Netherlands is a hometown for some of the biggest names in the industry. To name a few, prominent Dutch DJ’s Hardwell, Tiësto, and Dannic are all born in Breda and with this list alone, the talents from this town are certainly imposing. Alongside other renowned DJ’s from outside of Breda, such as Afrojack, Martin Garrix, and Armin van Buuren, The Netherlands overall has been known to have produced some of the world’s best DJ’s.

As a result, a Breda-native and a promoter named Martijn Frank Dirks plans to create a walk of fame specifically for DJ’s. Similar to the Hollywood Walk of Fame in Los Angeles, Dirks looks to create Breda’s very own streets consisting of tiles that show the names of the town’s best DJ’s. In addition, there is a possibility of building a DJ monument, which Dirks plans to implement next to the Valkenburg. Gladly, he has received a lot of support for this idea and as soon as Dirks gets official permission from the DJ’s and has gathered enough budget, the walk of fame and/or the monument could be in development anytime soon. While talking about his big project, Dirks stated:

“I have been in touch with the Breda DJs Hardwell and Dannic. They sounded quite enthusiastic about the plan and the congregation responded positively. It is now, especially, that I need to find partners to work together for the digital content and see how the tiles will be funded. ” (Translated from Dutch)
