Lemaitre ft. Mark Johns – Stepping Stone

Today, the young electronic duo of Ulrik Denizou Lund and Ketil Jansen, or collectively known as Lemaitre, released a brand new single as a teaser for their new EP that will be released on Astralwerks the 29th of January. The name of  the EP will be ‘1749’ and it will have five total tracks, including their big hit “Closer” with Jennie A.

Their disco-influence taste have garnered them fans all over the world, and the big step was when they joined Porter Robinson on his “Worlds Tour”, and later on having the song “1:18″ in an Iphone 5  commercial. The Norwegian duo was formed in 2010, when both Lund and Jansen went to school together in Lillehammer and the group was named after the Belgium priest Georges Lemaître, who proposed the Big Bang Theory.

‘1749’ is the 5th EP from Lemaitre and their previously ones were named ‘Relativity 1,2,3’ and ‘Singularity’. The brand new EP contains “Not Too Late”, “Day Two”, “Nishio 2 (feat. Giraffage)”, “Closer (feat. Jennie A.)” and the track below, “Stepping Stone”.

“Stepping Stone” is a aggressive electro-disco tune, with dark retrowave influence and great vocals from the singer Mark Johns, who recently got signed to OWSLA and is one of the most upcoming singers in the industry. In addition, its sounds may have been influenced by electronic music legends Daft Punk and Justice.

The duo has also announced the dates for their tour in the US and Europe in the next few months:
