Essential Mix takes us back to 2011 with incredible Axwell and Riva Starr mix

Unable to get Tiga on the EM decks this week as he wasn’t able to deliver his mix in time, the guys over at Radio 1 decided to roll back the years and treat fans to Axwell and Riva Starr‘s Essential Mixes from 2011.

Two absolutely stomping mixes in their own right, Professor Axwell turned in a now legendary mix featuring classics such as “Miami 2 Ibiza” and the legendary “Strobe” by deadmau5 mixed with “Together” from Swanky Tunes. Ax moves into some timeless tunes such as the Eric Prydz remix of Depeche Mode and closes with the Funkerman remix of RHCP’S “Otherside”

Riva Starr’s mix featured some of the greats such as his intro of Daft Punk‘s “One More Time” and the Nicky Romero remix of Green Velvet‘s techno classic “Flash”
