Norwegian tropical house superstar Kygo has been playfully teasing fans with new music during his recent tour, ahead of the upcoming release of his highly anticipated full-length debut album “Cloud Nine“ which is due out May 13th. Speaking of the forthcoming album the music trendsetter says:
“I called it Cloud 9 because that’s the place I want to take people when they are listening to my music. It’s also where I am when I make music. When I make a song, I’m really happy. It’s an indescribable feeling.”
The 6th and final single prior to the album’s release is the beautiful “I’m In Love”, which features the vocals of talented Irish singer-songwriter James Vincent McMorrow. The vocally-driven ballad is more soulful than the superstar’s typical trademark sound. Rather than the primary focus being on piano melodies, “I’m In Love” focuses on an orchestral sound which fits right into the concept of Kygo’s live shows. The choice of James Vincent McMorrow is once again a display of Kygo’s unprecedented ear for talented vocalists.
Kygo has been breaking new ground since the first release off “Cloud Nine” and if any of the 6 singles are anything to go by this is going to be one of the best albums of the year.
