Tiësto is a ground-breaking artist who has always been unapologetic about each change of musical direction during his lengthy dance music career. From his incredibly successful beginning in trance to a controversial shift to electro and now deep house, the superstars consistency and quality in production could never be questioned. One could argue that the musical force that is Tiësto, appears to have the Midas touch, allowing the Dutchman to excel in every genre he ever decides to take on.
Following the stars announcement of the launch of his new label ‘AFTR:HRS‘, fans were curious to hear what the trendsetter has in store for his first deep house label. The debut track’s premiere over the weekend on BBC Radio 1 with Danny Howard sent social media into a frenzy with a huge amount of speculation about the identity of the mysterious artist that has the privilege to be the debut of the superstar’s new project.
During the BBC Radio 1 show, it was revealed that the first release on AFTR:HRS is a track called “Nungwi“ by an artist known only as BLR. The track is a true gem – a breezy summer anthem infused with marimba influenced melodies backed up by synth stabs fading in and out of the spectrum. The subtle uniqueness of the track makes us all the more curious to find out the identity of the enigmatic artist behind this masterpiece.
