It has undoubtedly been astounding to witness Martin Garrix’s rise to stardom. At such a very young age, the Amstelveen native has already gained a gargantuan amount of success as a producer, DJ, and as an artist overall. He has garnered a strong following across the globe as well, particularly after his breakthrough hit “Animals”, and has received numerous awards throughout his early career, including an MTV’s Europe Music Award for Best Electronic Act.

Despite all of his prestigious accolades, Garrix has remained humble and has continued to work hard in providing high-quality music for his fans. Especially with the unreleased tracks from his upcoming album, Garrix’s musical prowess has undeniably reached a first-rate level, placing him at the top of the food chain. In addition, the Dutchman has toured the world and curated some of the most memorable sets in recent years, including his sets at major festivals such as Ultra Music Festival, Tomorrowland, and Sziget Festival.

Highlighting his incredible journey so far, MTV’s ‘The Ride’ recently aired an episode on Martin Garrix’s career and life outside of producing and performing. The documentary first showcases his early passion music, which intensified after watching Tiësto play music during the 2004 Summer Olympics opening ceremony. The show then progresses to his early start as a DJ, performing under the moniker DJ Marty, and to his signing with Spinnin’ Records as a teenager in 2012.

This episode of ‘The Ride’ also reveals his journey from attending Ultra Music Festival in 2013 as a fan to becoming a headliner for this year’s three-day spectacle. Making his waves within the industry, Garrix eventually collaborated with some of the biggest names in the business, namely Tiësto and Afrojack. In addition, his career also rose toward entirely new heights after working with international superstar Usher for his track “Don’t Look Down”.

Even though Garrix has a lot on his plate at such a young age, he still enjoys the little things in life such as spending time with his family and friends and greeting his very supportive fans whether they are at his shows or somewhere in public. The documentary does an exceptional job of presenting Garrix’s lifestyle, including both the ups and downs, and a timeline of his renowned career as one of the most prominent electronic music DJ’s and producers in the world.
