Ever since its conception in 2013 as part of dance music’s most integral conference Amsterdam Dance Event (ADE) the iconic Amsterdam Music Festival (AMF) has been growing in magnitude with every edition.
The 2015 edition of the event was monumental as it showcased groundbreaking 3D technology, special effects and pyrotechnics as well as a massive line-up featuring the likes of Hardwell, Armin Van Buuren, David Guetta, Martin Garrix, Tiesto and Afrojack – just to name a few. The festival’s growing popularity among fans has cemented it as one of the biggest music events of the year in only 3 years of its existence. The massive event is also infamous for featuring the announcement of the DJ Mag Top 100 list of DJ’s. The annual event unveils and crowns the #1 DJ of the year as voted by dance music lovers worldwide.
The upcoming 2016 edition of AMF promises to surpass all previous editions with an increase in the amount of venues and the festival’s duration. With the motto ‘Where the City and Music merge – 3 insane venues, 1 massive event’ AMF announced today that the thriving event is expanding to an incredible 5-day duration. The festival organisers are promising a ‘bigger, brighter and louder festival that will continue to exceed your expectations and showcase why Amsterdam is the counterpoint for all electronic music.’
The ever-growing festival will take place in the Amsterdam Arena on 22nd and 23rd October, Heineken Music Hall 19th to the 23rd of October and the Ziggo Dome 21st to 22nd October.
