Marshmello – Alone

Home Uncategorized Marshmello – Alone

Fresh off of announcing he will be taking over Avicii’s Encore Beach Club appearances this summer, Marshmello has treated us to another one of his signature, bouncy Trap records with “Alone.”  After previously releasing records on both OWSLA and Mad Decent, Marshmello’s new record has been released on Monstercat, the first in the two’s hopefully emerging partnership.  Monstercat has consistently fostered emerging talent like Pegboard Nerds, San Holo, and Haywyre so this partnership has us extremely intrigued to see what is coming next.

After opening with some steady builds and high notes, “Alone” takes its turn to the familiar Marshmello sound that has swept across the Electronic music scene and made fans out of all of us.  The record features a refrain that brings the listener in and soon gives way to another fun drop.  While the first is great, the second drop in “Alone” really stands out, adding some more beats and a slight change in rhythm.  “Alone” shows off the masked producer’s ability to create an infectious record with vibrant sounds and smooth melodies.  It is destined to become very popular in the upcoming summer months.

Marshmello’s “Alone” is available now on iTunes.  Make sure you catch him at EDC: New York this weekend as his set is sure not to disappoint.  His set at Ultra Music Festival was easily one of our favorites and is consistently played in our library.
