RIOT are currently under going their biggest surge of recognition and popularity. A well-earned and deserved transition into the gleaming spotlight of the electronic dance music scene.

Founded in February of 2012 the duo, formally known as Tom Davidson and Daniel Magid, have since delved into the sub-genre’s of Future Bass, Trap, Dubstep and Electro House, to great success. Now with 26 tracks to their name, RIOT have been the creators and curators behind some of the most innovative remixes over the past few years.

Having remixed the likes of Nero, Infected Mushroom, Galantis, Steve Aoki and Zedd with significant effect, it is however another remix that stands out from their glowing portfolio. Taking on the Red Hot Chilli Peppers “Can’t Stop” the duo’s infectious work has amounted in nearly 1.5 million plays in the past 5 months. With their collaboration alongside Skrillex-favourite, the Ragga Twins, and a Future Bass original, “Leave That Way“, receiving major praise from the scene, their next move was one many were paying close attention to.

Sourcing from the Israeli capital of Tel Aviv, RIOT have taken on Swedish songstress Zara Larsson’s chart-topping and globally-acclaimed track “Lush Life”. Amassing a mighty 200,000 plays in just 7 days, the remix stands as evidence of why the likes of Knife Party, Bassnectar, ZEDS DEAD, Dyro, Don Diablo and even Tow Swoon have shown their unconditional support.

Flipping the original pop-hit into an extroverted re-imagination, the morphing of Larsson’s vocal into the genre of Trap is impressive by itself. Subtly molding the original elements to cater, the oncoming of the drop provides eager anticipation. Under laid with drawn synths and fused as a whole seamlessly, the track stands as a testament to RIOT’s hard work and dedication over the past 4 years.

Available as a Free Download, RIOT’s remix of “Lush Life” is undoubtedly our favourite Trap remix to date, and could even remain there for the rest of 2016. Be sure to give the link below a listen and grab your copy today!
