As the summer festival season starts to get into full swing, there’s one European festival that goes relatively unnoticed in comparison to the larger events out there, but with a massive lineup of talent and a beautiful sea-side setting, it has to be one of the best festival’s Europe has to offer. The festival we are talking about of course is the Benicassim Festival in Spain.

With just over 3 weeks to go, we thought we’d give you an overview of one of the best festivals in Europe. Beginning on 14th July and running through to the 17th. It hosts 4 fantastic stages of music and to give you an idea of just how incredible the festival is, below you can take a look at the lineup as well as it’s immense setting:

Situated right on the east coast of Spain, and not too far away from Valencia, the location could not be more perfect and probably has one of the best locations out of any festival in Europe. While it is a crossover festival, there is no shortage of dance music talent on the bill with headliners Disclosure, Major Lazer and The Chemical Brothers being the biggest pull for fans of dance music, who will no doubt put on absolutely stellar performances. Other headliners include grime hero Skepta, Muse and Kendrick Lamar.

Even more suited for dance fans is the excellent J&B South Beach Dance Stage which hosts a breadth of talent from global names such as The Magician, John Talabot & Hannah Wants as well as some local Spanish talent which will certainly be interesting to see.  What’s special about Benicassim is that the music runs throughout the night, which we can only imagine will provide for some beautiful moments as the sun is coming up. As well as this already stellar lineup, there is also the likes of Jamie XX,  who’s 2015 album “In Colour” had to have been one of the biggest records of the year. With tickets at an incredibly cheap €147 for a 4 day festival as well as an extra 4 days of camping (campsite is open from Monday 11th July) there really couldn’t be a better value festival, and as we’re so close at this stage we’re counting down the minutes until the gates open. We will also be bringing a full event review after the festival so that you can hear about all of the action.

To close out, let’s have a look at this beautiful aftermovie from 2014 to give you an idea of exactly what Benicassim is like:
