NICKYP is no stranger to the scene now. The New York-based producer has become renowned for his, self titled, ‘Groovy Loud Electro House’ tracks of late. And the latest offering is further provision of the high-quality goodness.

Having been at the helm for releases such as “Utopia”, “Impulse”, and “Oblivion”, it has also been his bootlegs of some of the industry’s biggest names such as Fedde Le Grand’s “So Much Love” as well as Hardwell and Afrojack’s “Hollywood”, that have accumulated his growing popularity.

Nearing two years of releasing material, his latest offering has already attracted over 15,000 play in 5 days, with his records in the last six months nearing or topping over 100,000 plays on SoundCloud. Titled “Nostalgia”, it just does that, serving up a sound reminiscent of the undergrounds past.

Using a pulsating bass line and groovy house vibes, his old-school atmosphere and effects are ever-present. Treating the layers with a signature distortion that stems from his early fascination of metal and rock in his teenage years, NICKYP shows a more melodic side with his harmonic piano bridge. Topped with vocal riff’s and a rhythmic tempo, the second deliverance of surging energy swiftly emerges into the sound waves once again, treating the ears to a potent drop.

Now with a track record of playing at some of New York’s most iconic venues

, NICKYP’s flavour is broadening its horizon’s while still remaining true to its roots. A tough balancing act, but one the young talent seems to excelling at if “Nostalgia” is anything to go by!
