San Holo – Still Looking

From the Dutch town Zoetermeer, comes 25-year-old producer San Holo. You might confuse him with Han Solo but this guy is better known for making great music instead of fighting emperors. He is best known for his melodic synths, fusing future bass and trap.

His career began when San released his remix of Dr. Dre’s 90s anthem “The Next Episode”, receiving overwhelmingly positive feedback from tastemakers. That remix was his foot-in-the-door.After several big releases, San is now releasing his debut single on his new imprint, bitbird. San announced the creation of bitbird when “Still Looking” dropped. The producer said that he “always had the idea of starting a label”, which he and his team worked diligently to start. He went on to stress that “bitbird is a creative place where we can showcase beautiful art and assist artists in the best way we can.” Right now, he’s focusing on breaking boundaries. Later this year, we can look forward to the release of Gouldian Finch, a compilation from bitbird. For now, we have his New Sky EP, released on Monstercat in March. San has already released music for some heavyweight labels, including Spinnin’ Records and OWSLA.
