Tiesto brings out John Legend at EDC to premiere their new summer anthem
Tiesto is a standout name on any line-up, as the madness unfolded at EDC Las Vegas this weekend, anticipation built in excitement for his Sunday set. And true to his name, he did not disappoint. The Dutch legend even took a brief step back to his trance roots when he played the classic ‘Adagio for Strings‘. But it was his collaboration with John Legend that stole the spotlight, as he brought the singer out on stage to premiere their new collaboration ‘Summer Nights‘, as well perform his hit single ‘All of Me‘.
The summer score is a truly melodic and uplifting single; multiple genres including deep and progressive house sounds merge to deliver a gleeful final mix. The verses from John Legend will have you singing along, note for note with a main sectionĀ thatās bound to get dance floors and main rooms grooving. The chorusā charm lies in its simplicity and a future house synth adds a subtle hint of energy.
The track was just one of the highlights of the set, alongside some of the other new music he premiered. Blended with the likes of KSHMR, Alesso, AviciiĀ among many others, Tiesto’s status as EDMās esteemed figure head was upheld once again. Providing a variety of talent, popularity, new music and experience, it will feel undoubtedly strange the day we donāt see his presence at the worldās leading festivals.
