Fergie is arguably Northern Ireland’s finest electronic dance music export. Hailing from Larne in the small UK state, his distinguished portfolio speaks for itself.

Barely entering his teenage years, Fergie was already on the international scene and marked as ‘one to watch’. Quickly becoming a presenter on BBC Radio 1, he went on to become a Mixmag writer, award winning producer and remixer and owner of the highly acclaimed Excentric Muzik record label.

Over the years the Northern Irishman has been renowned for his diversity of sounds and his high energy performances. He has now set up shop in Las Vegas where his residencies at Hakkasan, Omnia and Wet Republic reflect his caliber as a DJ and his international standing and where his high octane music style is enjoyed by thousands every week. He also has residencies at Haven in Atlantic City and The Temple San Francisco

Still holding the record for the highest new entry of all time (Number 8 in 2000), for DJ Mag’s Top 100 poll,  Fergie also has another claim to fame, an impressive 13 ‘Essential Mixes’ on Radio One under his belt, his contribution to the underground scene can be quantified in the millions of listeners.

As well as a heavy DJ schedule he has carved out time to return to the studio and has delivered an impressive, hard-hitting number for Arcadia Records’ ‘Ibiza Sampler’. As one of ten tracks, it is hard to be distinctive yet have continuity when on an LP. However, Fergie’s sound is immediately recognizable with his signature thumping bass-lines that help pulsate the atmosphere through its ebbs and flows, making it an undeniable gem on the mighty compilation album.
