Fresh off the announcement of his North American tour with Grum, Pegboard Nerds, and Unlike Pluto, Seven Lions released an explosive list of remixes from his “Creation” EP from this Spring. Seven Lions has always had an incredible talent to blend genres and sounds and this EP is no different; there are seven incredible records from different producers, each bringing their own flavor and sound.

The compilation of seven tracks features four different stylistic takes on the EP’s title track “Creation” including a bouncy, trap remix from Firepower Records up-and-comer Soltan, a chillstep remix from Beatman & Ludmilla, and a future bass rework from Sunday Service. The remix of “Creation” that caught our eye though was from Anjunabeats’ rising star, Jason Ross. Offering some of the familiar melodies that we have come to know and love on the label, Jason Ross’ trance remix of the record is chilling and soothing.

Additionally, on the Remixes EP, there are three new takes on Seven Lions’ mega-hit “Coming Home.” Kap Slap’s and Suspect 44’s takes on the track offer two different takes on the trap genre, with Kap Slap going a bit more melodic and down-tempo and Suspect 44 adding a bit more heat on the drop. Both offer an interesting new take on the track that was originally such high energy. 3LAU also offers an incredible remix to the record with a progressive house groovy take, another huge departure from the original. The darker beats play well with the vocals from Mike Mains.

The “Creation” Remixes EP is out now on Casablanca Records. The EP is available for purchase on iTunes.
