DJ Snake takes on Twitter to vent feelings towards debut album

Within three weeks of its official release, DJ Snake’s debut album Encore has done exceedingly well with listeners and critiques alike. Setting Electronic music records by collecting his third number 1 hit, “Let Me Love You” ft. Justin Beiber, Encore seems to be initiating the perfect amount of fuel to continue the French producer’s fruitful career. Including collaborations with the likes of Skrillex, Migos, Young Thug, Yellow Claw, and more, the 14 track album debuted at number 8 on Billboard 200, and received close to 17 million streams within its first week. With all the momentum the album has picked up, DJ Snake took to Twitter to dish out his opinion on the album and his future plans.

In a recent Tweet, DJ Snake expressed to fans that this would be his “First & Last Album” of his now close to decade long career. Fans didn’t take lightly to this matter, and questioned the producer as to why he would stop now. When reading the feed of Tweets released since the drop of Encore on August 5th, Snake seems to be nothing short then fulfilled by his personal achievements, and even goes on record saying “I’ve been the happiest these past 2 months with barely a care in the world”.

Earning 2015’s most streamed song on Spotify alone with “Lean On”, DJ Snake’s career has been a marvel within the industry over the past five years. Setting milestones and ripping through Mad Decent, Columbia, and Spinnin Records singles, almost every single release has managed to top charts. With a career that has earned a now global appreciation, his past hits “Turn Down For What”, “The Middle”, and “Get Low”; and most recently “Let Me Love You”, have become industry staples. Developing an almost blueprint for what needs to be done to receive success in 2016’s EDM culture, only time will tell if this truly is his “last” album.
