Eric Prydz mesmerises with V Festival set

Home Uncategorized Eric Prydz mesmerises with V Festival set

Back on UK shores recently for a number of festival and one or two club dates, progressive house guru Eric Prydz  played at England’s V Festival over the weekend and had his set recorded for BBC Radio 1 ahead of his very special Cirez D Essential Mix which will be broadcast this weekend also.

Catering to the larger sized festival crowd as opposed to his more intimate club gigs, the Swede blitzed through a collection of his latest and greatest including his brand new ID from EDC Las Vegas (jokingly referred to by fans as “Nopus”) as well as the unreleased Pryda remix of “Every Day.” There was also time for a few cuts from from Eric’s techno alias Cirez D with a new ID being dropped as well as an incredible mashup of classic tune “On/Off” with progressive masterpiece “Mirage.”

As expected from Eric he brought a totally different vibe to the festival and played a type of music which many people wouldn’t have been exposed to before. While he has to play his more commercially accessible tracks to cater to the festival crowd, it’s still miles ahead than many other festival acts and shows once again why Eric Prydz is one of the best producers and DJs in the world today.
