You’d be hard pressed to find a man who’s as universally respected in dance music as Armand Van Helden is. The American producer/DJ is one of the genres longest serving artists who has seen and done it all from the early days of house music to topping charts world wide. Thankfully the veteran is back with his latest release “Wings” which surprisingly is coming out on Spinnin’ Records.
The track relies heavily on a sample of 80s classic “I Won’t Let You Down” by Ph. D but gives the tune a much more modern update and turns the tune into a complete house anthem. The simple yet effective sample is layered with some lovely drums rhythms before Helden turns the tune into a bass driven groover which will no doubt be an incredible effective dance room destroyer. Armand neatly makes this track his own and has created without a doubt one of the best tracks released this summer. A tune which works just as well being dropped in an underground club as it does at the main stage of any festival, this is a track which can appeal to just about anybody in dance music.
