When it comes to up and coming producers the abundance of electronic music makes it a daunting task to break through the industry barriers and get your music heard. However sometimes the barriers don’t stop there. The story of this foursome is one for the books as the young producers also had to fight political factors and their partnership is evidence that music can bring people together in spite of their alleged differences.

This collaboration goes beyond music as it is a piece of art created by producers from neighboring countries with a turbulent past. Originating from Bosnia and Herzegovina, up and coming duo Drop Department join forces with Serbian colleagues Divolly & Markward to create a truly unique piece of musical work. Two nations at war in the nineties are looking forward to the future and fighting prejudice and political pressures with the best metaphorical weapon – music.

Drop Department and Divolly & Markward have made a splash on the electronic music scene in their own right. Drop Department have received support from mega labels like Sosumi and Moganga while Divolly & Markward have enjoyed the success of releases on various labels including Fedde Le Grand’s massive Flamingo Recordings.

This collaboration proves that the promising producers have earned the eager interest of the biggest label owners in the world of electronic music. The track in question is Code Red’s “Batucada” and it truly epitomizes the word tribal. With its massive percussion and uplifting vocal sample standing still is not an option when it comes to this tune. The heavy percussion will fit an abundance of different DJ sets as evidenced by the early support from the house maestros Kryder, Tom Staar, Dannic, Marcus Schossow, Tony Junior and more. Following on from Code Red boss Marcus Schossow’s recent masterpiece ‘ADA’, this is a tune that will be on repeat all summer.

Keep an eye out on this foursome but for now press play and bring on the summer!

Out now on Beatport, Spotify and Deezer and August 29 on Itunes and other portals.
