It seems to be the case that anything that happens in day in the life of EDM’s poster-boy Martin Garrix makes it to the news and the connection between the fans and the artist increases through the same. But the real problem is of authenticity of this connection. To make sure that he does not drift away from the faithful, Garrix sat down with his country’s radio channel 3FM and did an interview on-air which involved direct questions from the fans.
Taking excerpts from the original interview available on the Radio channel’s website, we have the following interactions which carried weight in the on-air talk.
While talking idols, Garrix sees none other than Tiesto who has been of great influence to him. He also detailed that he would like to do a collaboration with American singer-songwriter Pharrell Williams. Moving towards a more realistic and upcoming collaboration, Garrix unveiled the big news that in upcoming year he would be doing a collaboration with Justin Bieber, who seems to be finding a resurgence of sorts in the ever broadening horizon of Electronic Dance Music after successive collaborations, first with Jack U and then a latest with Major Lazer.
Also revealed was the fact that the collaboration with Ed Sheeran seems to be not heading for the release possibly due to a problem with the respective label for the track. For those interested, Garrix also assured that he is single and even though he gets lonely on tours, viewing fellow artists as brothers and taking family and friends along helps him to get over that feeling.
Finally Martin Garrix claimed that his much awaited album is subject to release as per the label’s working and that it would either be out in the end of this year or possibly in the next year. He admitted to looking at success through various Singles releases as a big factor in the album’s release.
