Home Uncategorized Listen: Carl Cox’ last 10 tracks at his final Space Ibiza show

In a recent BBC Radio 1 Ibiza Essential Mix special, one of the quotes taken from the introductory read was “When you think of Ibiza, you think of Carl Cox and Space”.

So instrumental the pair have been in the rise of Ibiza over the years that it was a sad, sad day for dance music when the news broke. The news that not only would 2016 be Carl Cox’ last year playing in the club, but also that Space itself would be closing its doors for good as well.

The legendary Ibiza clubbing institution has been regularly voted the best club in the world, and Cox himself has been championing the club for years. His residency, which began back in 2001, has become synonymous with clubbers worldwide for it’s quality, and Cox’s ability as a DJ has always shone through.

Last week, on Tuesday night, the English DJ played for the last time at his Music Is Revolution party in the club. Celebrating 15 years of music, Carl Cox played for 9 hours straight, most of it on vinyl and the entire set was also streamed live for the whole world to enjoy. As the night came to a close and things started to become a bit emotional, ‘Coxy’ played his final 10 tracks of his Space residency which were a combination of new and old, before closing out with a tune that Carl said just “came naturally” to him. Below you can find those final 10 tunes:

10. Moby – Go

9. Dave Clarke – The Storm

8. Green Velver – Genedefekt

7. Pan-Pot – Fugitives (Joseph Capriati Remix)

6. A Homeboy A Hippie and A Funki Dredd – Total Confusion

5. Jack Master – Bang The Box (Slam Remix)

4. Deetron – Photon

3. Joe Smooth – Promised Land

2. Ce Ce Rogers – Someday

1.  The Doors – The End
