Steve Angello and Laidback Luke‘s “Show Me Love” has been one of the hottest records in dance music history, coming a long way since its 2009 release on Ultra Music. The bouncy remake of the house classic by Robin S. brings one of dance music’s most recognizable choruses to fans two decades after its inception. It is probably one of the most remixed and remade tracks in the history of music.

Following in the footsteps of his pioneering producer peer, Hardwell becomes the latest to grab hold of “Show Me Love”. Debuted this past weekend on Hardwell On Air 285, an unsurprising club-powered blast pushes the all-time classic to new heights. Perfect for the more melodic festival circuit flavourings, Hardwell recounts the immortal track.

The 2009 hit was one of the records that launched the new wave of electronic dance music seven years ago. While Angello and Luke re-imagined a classic for its 2009 resurgence, Hardwell uses modern techniques to recreate the anthemic original into the contemporary house conversation. We can all acknowledge that releases from 2009 are vastly different from 2016, for one, the kick is stronger and the buildup more intense on Hardwell’s rework. The use of synthesizers have evolved overtime and the incorporation of them onto the new age version is evident from the get go. The ground structure stays unaltered – fortunately.
