Summer is nearing its end and those who were fortunate enough to take advantage of the sunshine and 24/7 parties on the infamous island of Ibiza are now back home with nothing but amazing memories. Although autumn is almost upon us, there are still plenty of events hosted by the sun kissed island that will tantalize those in search of some last minute sun and party chasing. The destination of Ibiza is synonymous with quality clubbing and when it comes to iconic nightclubs the first thing that will come to mind is Pacha Ibiza.

Pacha will forever be known as the ultimate clubber’s club. Glamorous, sexy, classy and exclusive, the venue has for decades built a reputation for being the beautiful club on an island that has no shortage of competition in the field. Created in Ibiza in 1973, Pacha has grown into the most dominant clubbing brand in the world, with the Ibiza venue being particularly special to the brand.

Pacha Ibiza is a clubbing destination with its own innate style and hosts a myriad of different rooms that cater to different music styles. The Global and Main Room, Funky Room, Roof Terrace as well as Sweet Pacha which plays a mixture of popular music and classics. It comes as no surprise that a club of its magnitude and history will be a host to some of the world’s biggest DJs. It remains an island institution and is a club many DJ’s welcome the opportunity to play at.

Pacha is inextricably linked with Ibiza and its long history with the island allows it to be on the pulse with the latest music trends and hosts everything from underground to mainstream styles. We Rave You had the chance to check out the gem of the island at two of the biggest parties hosted by the club – the legendary F*** Me I’m Famous residency by the French powerhouse David Guetta and his fellow Frenchman Martin Solveig who is taking over the island with his popular residency ‘My House.’

David Guetta’s  F*** Me I’m Famous

The club’s most longstanding popular night, F*** Me I’m Famous headed by superstar David Guetta certainly lived up to its hype. This residency has amassed a staggering amount of hype and we were quite curious to see what the fuss was all about. The magic of his renowned Pacha residency was certainly felt in the sexy, dark atmosphere of the club with high energy sets of the young and very talented Felix Jaehn and Guetta himself banging out some of his biggest hits. The venue is so familiar to him you can tell that he calls that DJ booth his second home. Guetta’s set proved that this is one man who dominates the dance floors of Ibiza and it’s not hard to see why. With such an overwhelming popularity of one of Ibiza’s biggest events, Guetta has been and will be performing for an unprecedented 19 weeks, with the event closing on 6 October 2016. His star guests on the summer nights included Robin Schulz, JP Candela, Lost Frequencies, The Avener, Feder, Michael Calfan, Sam Feldt, Bakermat, Cedric Gervais and many more.

Martin Solveig’s My House

There is an energy to Martin Solveig that can simply be described as addictive. The cheerful bouncy Frenchman always manages to find a way to get everyone moving and Pacha Ibiza is a venue that fits his addictive sound like a glove. All you need to do to find out is to hear the first few beats of ‘Intoxicated’ and see the crowd go wild. Not surprisingly, My House is a celebration of house music. Solvieg’s line-ups are fresh and diverse and Solveig’s electro-tastic nu-disco inspired house is a gem. Stars that joined the funky Frenchman on the Wednesday night fiesta included Diplo, Boyz Noise, The Magician, Tinie Tempah, Don Diablo, Tchami, Michael Calfan and more. Solveig’s residency runs until the 5 October 2016. The night is unsurprisingly intoxicating.

We may have only had the chance to check out these two crowd pleasing residencies but Pacha is in abundance of many more just as tantalizing to every electronic music fan.

Bob Sinclair’s ‘Pure Pacha, Paris by Night’ on a Saturday brings some more of that French charm to the island. Those in search of a harder sound are fans of the ‘Mosaic by Maceo (Plex)’ on a Tuesday and ‘Insane’ on a Friday where there is no shortage of quality DJ’s such as Nic Fanciulli, Luciano and Hot Since ’82. Not forgetting the legendary ‘Solomun+1’ fronted by Solomun and another DJ every week. Black Coffee, DJ Teenis and Dubfire were just some of the legendary names to have joined Mr Solomun behind the infamous Pacha decks. Since Ibiza is a 24/7 party island you can of course party even on a Monday with Pacha’s world-famous ‘Flower Power’. A party that oozes with positive vibes and brings an abundance of color to the dark sexy club.

There may be some alleged turmoil around Pacha Ibiza at the moment where its future seems to be uncertain but with an institution as strong and powerful as Pacha Ibiza we have no doubt that this is one club that has made such an imprint on the party island it would be almost impossible for anything to ever change its position in the clubbing world. So if you’re the spontaneous kind there is still time to check out some of the magic of Pacha and Ibiza, and if not, you can start the countdown to the summer of 2017. We’re certainly already ready for round 2 of the sun-kissed party island that never sleeps.
