Dutch prodigy Nicky Romero is back with yet another future hit, as he teams up for ‘Take Me’ with US-based singer & songwriter Colton Avery.

Written by the Irish pop-rock band The Script, the collaboration represents a flawless harmony between pop and electronica, showcasing Protocol’s head-honcho ability to experiment with a vast variety of genres. Following the success of his work with Nile Rodgers, this latest offering is his second extremely successful attempt this year to blend different sounds together, taking the lead in the never-ending battle of genres.

2016 is yet another year on the rise for Nicky Romero, showing that he is nowhere near running out of creativity and ideas. With an impressive summer schedule, which included the biggest festivals in the world, the Dutch front-man is just ahead of his annual label night Protocol X ADE ’16, showcasing the best of his imprint at the biggest music conference in the world, hosted in his home-country of The Netherlands.

And speaking of variety of genres, Colton Avery is yet another proof that there should be no boundaries between those. Inspired by icons such as Jim Croce and Paul McCartney, the American singer and songwriter has put his indie voice in perfect harmony with modern electronic music.

Showcasing his musician side, Nicky Romero blends in pop & rock infused elements throughout the track, kicking off with an electric guitar and building it to a catchy pluck-inspired melody. Keeping the vocal as the lead, it creates a perfect blend with his signature progressive house style.

This future number 1 has already made quite the impact throughout the legion of Nicky Romero fans around the world and it is sure to be heard a lot in the coming months.

“Take Me” featuring the stunning vocals of Colton Avery & written by the iconic band The Script is out now via Romero’s own Protocol Recordings, so make sure you grab it form here.
