Home Uncategorized Zedd appointed for League Of Legends’ 2016 theme song

League of Legends (LoL) is by far one of the most popular games on the planet with well over 30 million daily active users; played by many and known to all. Ahead of the annual World Championship organized by Riot Games (the corporation behind the game), all evidence points toward Zedd composing its theme song for 2016. This isn’t the first time LoL has dabbed into electronic music waters to select their gameplay music. Last year, we saw Vicetone, ArtyMarshmello and more take on popular LoL anthems or ‘warsongs’.

In the past, Riot worked with Imagine Dragons to create “Warriors” and Nicki Taylor to create “Worlds Collide” for 2014 and 2015’s theme songs respectively. With the rise of electronic music over the last few years, it was inevitable that we’d see an artist from the dance spectrum be selected.

As teased by LoL in a tweet, we see a popular character from the game, Kha’Zix, watching a fiery storm take place in the distance. An overlay of Zedd’s logo has fans convinced that he’s been appointed to compose the theme song titled, “Ignite” as hinted in the tweet’s hashtags. Even Zedd himself tweeted “9/26”, which we’re almost sure is the track’s release date.
