Zeds Dead & NGHTMRE feat. GG Magree – Frontlines

Zeds Dead & NGHTMRE, two of the biggest names within the EDM community, collaborate with funky, indie-rock singer GG Magree for their new song “Frontlines“.

Zeds Dead, the Canadian electro-house duo of Dylan Mamid and Zachary Rovan, have collaborated with big name artists such as Dillon Francis, Diplo, and Oliver Heldens in the past. They’ve worked tirelessly since 2013 to reach the status that they now hold as one the formidable DJ acts around.

Tyler Marenyi, better known by his stage name NGHTMRE, is also a relatively new DJ who’s rise to fame seemed to have shot off since Ultra Music Festival 2015. Marenyi is known for his heavy-hitting beats and is prominent within the trap scene.

Together these two acts bring a rather chilled out vibe in “Frontlines”. It’s not as grimey, or bass-thumping as one would expect from these artists combined. The voice of GG Magree brings an indie-rock soul sound to the table. It meshes beautifully with the melody throughout the song. It’s almost acoustic sounding with not much but Magree’s voice and the melody, until the chorus in which the beat picks up and the bass starts bumping. It’s chill trap at its best so just be forewarned if you wanted something more heavy hitting.
