Home Uncategorized Martin Garrix wins DJ Mag’s Top 100 DJ Poll

Amsterdam Dance Event is already in full effect and the DJ Mag Top 100 results have just been released, crowing Martin Garrix as the ne#1 DJ of the world. The Dutch superstar kickstarted his career back in 2013 with the release of his world known hit song “Animals” which quickly gained the support of top ranking DJs. The following years Martin Garrix collaborated with international superstars; Afrojack, Tiësto, Usher, and the previous #1 Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike, which resulted in releases such as “Tremor”, “Turn Up The Speakers”, Don’t Look Down”, “The Only Way Is Up”.  The Dutch phenomenon has been at the center of attention in both media and amongst his fellow DJ colleagues, praised for his masterful productions and incredible shows.

(Other notable releases include: “Forbidden Voices”, “Dragon” and “Break Through the Silence”)

Ever since the last year’s edition of DJ Mag Top 100 poll, the speculations and hype have been flourishing like never before and Martin Garrix has been one of the strongest “candidates” for the title. For the last year, Garrix has performed at countless of shows all over the globe including major dance music festivals such as Ultra Music Festival, Tomorrowland, and EDC. In addition to releasing 3 smashing singles in the past few months and an album soon to be released, Garrix only last week announced to release a total of 7 brand new tracks over the course of 7 days with the last track ‘Welcome’ which was released earlier today. A productive year to say the least.

Martin Garrix has quickly risen to the very peak of the DJmag Top 100 poll, and only last year the youngster was ranked in 3rd place, which was an improvement from his 2014 ranking by 1 position. Now only 3 years after the release of ‘Animals’, the dutchman has not only been crowned the new number one DJ of the world but has also beaten the DJ Mag record for being the youngest ever #1 DJ (previously Hardwell).

Congratulations Martin Garrix!
