Many Alesso fans have been waiting in eager anticipation for the release of the Swedish star’s collaboration with Dillon Francis since it was first premiered over summer, and finally the track is available to purchase. The live ripped version has been circulating the Internet for the past few months ever since both Alesso and Dillon began playing it in their sets, most notably at Tomorrowland and Summerburst, and since then the track has taken the dance music world by storm.
However, last month Alesso posted a short snippet of the track on Instagram as part of a gig announcement for Los Angeles, showcasing a new, unheard version of the track. This has led some fans to believe that we may be in store for both a ‘Radio Edit’ and a ‘Festival Mix’ of the track, in a similar fashion to how Axwell /\ Ingrosso released their recent hit ‘Thinking About You‘. Of course, Alesso has done something like this already, having remixed his own track ‘I Wanna Know‘ together with Deniz Koyu to provide a more club-friendly version. Whilst in this case, the new version of ‘Take My Breath Away‘ does contain the same mesmerizing vocals as the live rip, but with a more trap-styled beat underneath it. A host of atmospheric chords and pads add to the emotions of the vocals, and as we have come to expect from the Swede, is immaculately well produced.
