Over the past several years, Showtek have become prominent for their earth-shattering productions. Whether they are hardstyle or big room house, many of the duo’s tracks have successfully turned into massive festival anthems. From their 2006 Defqon 1 anthem called “The Colour of the Harder Styles” to their more recent bangers such as “Booyah” and “Slow Down”, Showtek’s productions tend to always bring the heat and please crowds of any magnitude.

From their impressive list of releases, one standout track would be Showtek’s collaboration with fellow Dutch producer Justin Prime. Together, the trio delivered “Cannonball”, which was undoubtedly one of 2012 and 2013’s biggest dance music tunes. For numerous months, this particular track was a staple to many live sets from the likes of Hardwell and Tiësto and even four years after its release, fans can still often hear this home-run-hitter play and electrify large audiences.

As soon as the introductory buildup commences, “Cannonball” immediately brings the rave environment right to its listener. Supported by some synths and an amplifying beat, the melodic sequence then transitions into the hard-hitting and overpowering bass drop that has caused tremors in all four corners of the earth.
