The Chainsmokers – All We Know (Conro Remix)

The young Canadian Conro has been on fire recently, with a string of fine remixes for the likes of Mr. Probz, Fais ft. Afrojack and Paris Blohm, and a number of original singles on Monstercat, all under his belt. The Chainsmokers, currently sitting #1 in the US charts with their latest release and the longest running #1 of 2016, ‘Closer’, are the latest and arguably biggest of the industry’s heavyweights to enlist Conro to rework their music on ‘All We Know’, the outcome showing Conro’s diversity and fresh approach, while maintaining his signature sound.

The track begins by introducing luscious piano chords that set the tone, before layered vocals float over the top of the track and provide an almost dreamlike atmosphere. The drop is powerful and dubstep influenced, and the half-time beat and shuffling drums provide a groove that is guaranteed to get people moving from the first time they hear it. The track is littered with intricate synth-work and arpeggiated elements that showcase Conro’s considerable talents in sound design and production.

On being asked personally by the Chainsmokers to remix their track Conro explained :

“I was flattered and super excited. I’ve been emailing with the guys since my first release in 2012 (Axiom) so to finally get to work on something with them was super rewarding!”

Conro enjoyed his time making the remix for the hitmakers:

“I had lots of fun working on this remix. A little bit of some older EDM melodies in the drop with my more current sounds, I had fun making this one from start to finish! Alex messaged me back saying “this is f*ckg sick!!!” so I was happy that they liked my interpretation of their song! The Chainsmokers are crushing the industry right now, so a big congrats to them!”
