One of Deadmau5‘s newest singles has been released early. This one in particular, has been a special project for the Canadian. Catching Deadmau5’s eye back in 2015, upcoming composer/musician Grabbitz knew just the right amount of production flair to turn an original Mau5trap track into a feature, all his own. The Buffalo native rearranged Deadmau5’s instrumental “Silent Picture”, into a vocal ballad strong enough to have the masked DJ himself rework it into his newest album. The hit combines power from both artists, and is one fans have truly been waiting for. Entitled “Let Go”, the song is now featured on Deadmau5’s forthcoming album W:/2016Album (pronounced “W Drive 2016 Album”).
Seen for the first time in April after Grabbitz himself posted the track to Twitter, Deadmau5 decided to respond to the remix stating, “Can we finish it?”, and the rest is history. Since then, the hype around the single has been at an all-time high, and now with a premature release, Deadmau5 listeners can celebrate a little early. Serving as the predecessor to 2014’s while(1<2), the new album is to be released December 2nd off Mau5trap records, just in time for the holidays. Other tracks include the Toronto Maple Leaf’s 2016 anthem, “2448”, “Snowcone”, “Cat Thruster”, and more.
