Joining in on the holiday spirit this year is none other than EDM’s most notorious masked entertainer, Deadmau5. According to the locally run Oakville Beaver, Deadmau5 attended the Halton’s Toys for Tots Holiday Campaign where he donated a shopping cart full of toys for the less fortunate. Celebrating 17 years of gift giving, the drive took to Twitter this year to spread the joy, and it was here the event initially caught Deadmau5’s eye.
The drive runs until the end of December making it the perfect giving experience for all families this holiday season. Judy Dugas, the regional manager for Halton’s Toys for Tots, went on record stating:
“You can take it into your business, your school, place of worship, sports team and connect with us to run a toy drive… we want to put that challenge out that you have the power to impact and make a difference in the lives of a child and their family.”
Last year’s campaign drove in $34,500 worth of profits according to Dugas, and with how things are shaping to be this year, one can only hope the outcome will be just as sweet. For a complete list of all drop off locations and gift ideas, click Halton’s police force link here.
