Oliver Heldens and Sander van Doorn collide in the studio once again for the long awaited “WTF”. After “THIS“, “WTF” marks their second collaboration. This time however, Oliver decided to go with his other moniker, HI-LO. For their latest offering, the two Dutch heavyweights tried to display their abilities outside the commercial house arena, with success! Their collaboration resulted in an immense track fit for a stadium setting as well as intimate club settings, outfitted with appealing, rhythmic melodies and charged to full power with light intrusions of Big Room in opportune places. The flamboyant nature of “WTF” presents an uplifting feel, making it a perfect addition to the production catalog of both artists.

The last time both artists appeared on the same track was in 2014’s “THIS”, which was a favorite among the Future House community that year for its thumping hook and bouncy basslines. Since then, they’ve continued releasing relentlessly on Heldeep on one side and Doorn on the other side, eventually traveling down the current road they’re on musically and reaching heavy commercial success outside their usual comfort zone.

“WTF” plays like an alternative dance anthem wrapped in uplifting modern club hallmarks. There’s an essence of something more experimental stepping from both producers that leaves behind their signature work, but the single frames a more confident and ordinated take on the HI-LO sound than ever before. If this is to be a sign of things to come from the two kingpins in 2017, then the New Year cannot come soon enough.
