Home Uncategorized Nastia gives surprise talk at daughter’s Elementary School

Last week, Nastia surprised students at her daughter’s school by showing up to talk about her profession during a ‘bring your parents to class’ day. In a video that quickly went viral, you can see the inspiring talk taking place, as well as the students being able to try their hand at mixing vinyl.

Through an inspiring Facebook post, Nastia shared her story, explaining that parents were invited to give a talk about their profession, educating the young students about their careers. Nastia took the opportunity to explain what it means to be a DJ, how the equipment works, and to explain the significance of using vinyl. During the talk, it is certainly clear that the students found her inspiring, with some even dancing along to her demonstration with huge enthusiasm.

As Nastia says in her Facebook post, it is possible that in that class lies a potential future superstar DJ, with the possibility that the next Martin Garrix could be sitting in the room. Here’s what Nastia had to say about the experience:

“Last friday before autumn school holidays have started in Ukraine the teacher of the 3rd class (where my daughter Uli is studying) has offered to the parents to make last day of lessons about their professions, so she asked me to be one of five teachers. I was not lazy to bring a part of my home studio to the school and talk about DJing. I have explained to the children what is DJing about, who is a DJ, how equipment works and what is the meaning in playing electronic music from vinyls. It was cool to introduce them to the esthetics of wax and give them a try to touch and control my setup. That was so much happy time, emotional and inspiring moments. I will never ever forget this experience and I am very much grateful for our teacher Neonila for an opportunity to talk to the young listeners and maybe dance music lovers or even professional musicians/dj’s in the future. Later on I’ll share another video where you’ll see happy interested kids playing with it as much as they could” – Nastia
