One Direction are certainly not the first name you think of when it comes to dance music, but since they are the world’s biggest band with plans to take a much deserved break from touring, some of the members just couldn’t stay away from the studio.
Over the past year, Irishman Niall Horan has been recording and writing his first solo album, and he recently released his debut track entitled ‘This Town‘. The track is similar in style to many of One Direction’s acoustic, downtempo tracks, but now the one and only Tiesto has put his spin onto the original, turning it into a much more club-friendly track.
The result is a catchy, uplifting track which embraces Niall Horan’s unique voice throughout the song. Simple and mellow, Tiesto leaves plenty of room for the Irishman’s smooth, airy vocals during the verses and break while building the presence of the glossy guitar riffs in the drop.
Tiesto is increasingly being called upon to turn popular radio hits in club anthems, having recently added his touch to Calum Scott’s ‘Dancing On My Own‘ and Bastille’s ‘Send Them Off‘, and this addition is equally as impressive as his previous works. With the Dutch producer’s signature elegance and musical intuition, combined with Niall Horan’s cult-like following, we are sure to have a recipe for success.
