Vlad Lucan – Reverse

Swedish DJ & producer Axwell‘s imprint Axtone has well established its level of quality throughout the years with solid releases every single time, and this time is no different. Their brand new release on their series “It’s Great!” comes from Romanian producer Vlad Lucan, and it is seriously great, as the name suggests. The series was initiated by Axtone a few months ago as a way to release experimental and progressive music, all for free, with their debut release being from Finnish producer Lenno called “Some Lovin'”. Following up on the success of Lenno’s impressive release, now comes this majestic progressive release called “Reverse”, and it definitely lives up to Axtone’s well-proven standards.

Vlad Lucan has been making serious waves as a producer, not only in the hip-hop industry in his country, having won multiple awards, but in the electronic dance music scene as well, having garnered support from the likes of Proximity and other major channels.

The track was premiered first by Axwell’s old colleague Steve Angello during his BBC Radio One Residency a few months ago, and has been incredibly well received ever since. “Reverse” starts off with an infectious piano melody and builds up to a progressive synth-based explosion of euphoria. Paired up with the sexy acoustic guitar in the breakdown and the masterful drum work, “Reverse” is truly a release worthy of the Axtone name.
