Fans of the Bicep boys will be well familiar with Belfast fellow Hammer (Real name Rory Hamilton). The Irish DJ/Producer has had a string of hits on their Feel My Bicep label such as the melancholic piano-house odyssey Dahila and also happened to have one of the best Boiler Room sets of the year back at the completely mental AVA Festival in June. Hamilton has also just had a funky new EP release on Optimo’s label entitled Get Once.

Known for being a top-notch selector in his time as a resident at legendary Glasgow clubbing institute Sub-Club, DJ Mag recently picked him up for a mix as part of their weekly podcast series, and as expected he doesn’t disappoint. The mix is a diverse funky blend of tracks, and has some deep cuts on there that you’re unlikely to find many other DJ’s spinning. It shows off Hammer’s broad taste as well as his excellent mixing. Also featured just after the thirty minute mark is one of his long-awaited new tracks which was also a highlight of Hamilton’s aforementioned Boiler Room set, and a tune which will hopefully be released in the near future.
