Premiere: That Matters – Parallel

That Matters is a name that has lately begun to surface within the electronic music circuit. Not much information is known regarding this mysterious solo producer, but the music That Matters has released could certainly speak for itself.

That Matters first caught people’s attention with a blissful deep house track called “Bamba” on the label Kid Coconut. That Matters then followed it up with a massive release on Steve Angello’s Size Records titled “IWI” and on Kryder’s Sosumi Records called “Class X”, which were both in collaboration with Jenia and Mr. Styles.

Recently, Sosumi Records signed another one of That Matters’ tracks but this time, released it as part of their ’12 Days of Sosumi’ event heading into the holidays. Titled “Parallel”, this production certainly keeps the momentum going for That Matters, or better yet, amplifies it considering the amount of success this up-and-coming talent has been accumulating.

Right from the get-go, the audience is greeted with a flurry of intense chord progressions and subtle melodies. The track continues to build up until the heart-pumping and groovy drop ensues. With its jolting basslines and soothing synths, the climax is quite astonishing to hear and would surely cause any listener to dance. Overall, “Parallel” possesses such high-quality sounds that it should not come as a surprise if it becomes a staple at any club or festival event in the future.
