Ryden – Ready

When it comes to music, it takes a certain tastemaker to set the bar for the ones around them; World, meet Ryden. Hitting the soundwaves with her newest hit, “Ready”, this female go-getter is on her way stardom with a sound that is not only unique, it’s where this genre is headed. As the U.S. begins its lean towards the marriage of trap and hiphop, based on its skill alone, “Ready” has its competitors beat.

From the top of the track, the song ignites its listeners with an anthem layered structure which falls seamlessly into breathy vocals. As it begins to flow, Ryden’s vocal dexterity carries the backbeat into a buildup bodied in bigroom bass and key sound design. With an obvious rap flavor engulfed in its core, “Ready” takes today’s modernized trap game and spins it with a heightened drop, and percussion accents. While where the track will end up on the charts will be for the listeners to decide, there are no doubts that this is bound to make waves. The track overall is one that will most definitely be played at festivals to come, and as for Ryden, it’s obvious this is just beginning.
