2016 might be done and dusted, but the best-of lists keep on coming. Trustworthy Shazam has come up with the goods again this year, delivering the ten tracks that are making their algorithms whirr from the global charts of Billboard, iTunes and co. and the dancefloors all around the world. There are some new classics and unexpected bangers in there. Unsurprisingly, dance acts are well represented in this years list again.

On the top, it’s Sia‘s “Cheap Thrills” that’s taken the title of Shazam’s most popular. Surprisingly, Kungs‘ addictive “This Girl” won the silver medal, while Alan Walker‘s chart-topping “Faded” is ranked 3rd.  Other dance artists such as Seeb and The Chainsmokers can be found in the top ten as well. It’s pretty unusual to see three dance tracks being ranked as top 5 shazamed tracks of the year, surpassing worldwide hits like Lukas Graham‘s “7 Years Old” (6th), Twenty One Pilot‘s “Stressed Out” (5th) or Justin Bieber‘s “Love Yourself” (10th).

Check out Shazam’s the full list:
