Bastille – Blame (Claptone Remix)

Claptone kicks off 2017 with his highly awaited remix of Bastille‘s ‘Blame‘. The masked gentleman from Germany has been making some serious waves over the last few years ever since ‘Wrong‘ took off for all the right reasons. Proving Claptone isn’t a one-hit-wonder kind of project, the German delivered a variety of underground house hits that are key weapons in any dance DJs’ arsenal. Claptone’s dark beats have travelled through every airwave imaginable and his radio show, Clapcast has already reached its 75th episode, attracting thousands of electronic music listeners.

When tasked with the duties of remixing British indie band, Bastille; Claptone didn’t disappoint. His take on Blame has completely reimagined the original, instead of trying to improve the track, Claptone has truly made it his own. Stripping away most of the original’s elements, we’re left with chopped up vocals and subtle melodies; providing for a proper house record that’s guaranteed to get shoulders rolling.
